What to Expect and What to Wear for Pilates

Your initial session will include a postural analysis and an introduction to the STOTT PILATES ® basic principles. This will help you and your instructor develop a program that is ideally suited for you. Your instructor will recommend you the program to follow depending upon your fitness level, goals and abilities.

We will ask you to complete your personal contact and medical history update prior to the start of your session, so plan to arrive early to complete in the studio or download form and bring it to the studio.

Wear or bring clothing that allows for comfort and ease of movement. Sweatpants and fitted T-shirts or tops are great for this type of workout. Don’t wear anything too baggy because we will be observing your movements for proper alignment and execution.

Socks or bare feet are fine. You will not be able to wear shoes.

Types of Sessions

Each new client begins with a personalized assessment, a postural analysis and a conversation about you-past injuries, your body and your goals.

Private Instruction

A fully certified Pilates instructor will create a personalized program—whether you’re recovering from an injury or preparing for a marathon. Each class is approx. 50 minutes.

Pilates Semi-Private Sessions

Semi-private sessions require a match of two clients under the direction of one certified Pilates instructor. Each class is approx. 50 minutes.
